Indian Army Day – A tribute To the Braves!

Indian Army Day

Unlike Caption America, Shaktiman or Iron man, none can compete for the struggle and courage of Army men, before we can think of the border they take the step and never fail in protecting us, yes Army men are the real heroes, as Capt. Vikram Batra, PVC once said, “Either I will come back after hoisting the tricolour, or I will come back wrapped in it, but I will be back for sure.” Undoubtedly nothing can ever match with the sacrifice of the true hero of our nation who can even die to keep us safe and happy.

While we enjoy festivals and holidays and live peacefully with our dear ones and family, the Indian Army stand tall in the hard and most stringent of conditions in all the seasons. Whether it blood clod freezing temperatures or unbearably hot out there, they always keep up with their brave heads high, wide awake so that we can have a sound sleep every day.

It is not easy to be a man standing on the lines where death and life are connected, every day risking their lives for millions living in this nation. No matter what we do for our country but their sacrifice is unbeatable, and why it should not, it takes courage to fight with those intruders.

Therefore, to esteem, the firm foot of our nation’s bravest soldiers this day is celebrated as the Indian Army Day. Thus Army Day is being celebrated on January 15 every year, to remember the day when (at that point) Lieutenant General KM Cariappa took over General Sir Francis Butcher as Commander-in-Chief of India on January 1949. This year, the Indian Army will celebrate 72nd Army Day.
