PM Care fund receiving even micro donations!
As India strives to comprise the spread of deadly Coronavirus that have devastated several first global countries on the globe, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed the residents of the country to monetarily contribute toward this effort via making donations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prepared an account named PM care fund in the country. In which he appealed to the people to come forward for help and donate. Starting from meager Rs.10, these donations clearly depends on the ability of the person. Since then, the PM Care fund has shown incredible response. Citizens from all over the country are making donations varying on their choice. From Rs. 10 to Rs, 1500 crore, the PM Care fund had received an overwhelming response. We must say, when the country comes in crises nothing matter more than saving lives, and Indians are one such example of showing solidarity when needed the most!
PM Care fund receive donations from millions!
Though there are already many such funds like the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund where citizens can make donations. But the union authorities has now decided to set up a particular fund for Covid-19 or coronavirus, due to the gravity of the scenario posed by it. Coronavirus, a disease that has claimed thousands of lives worldwide has also put many nations under lockdown, and this lockdown has resulted in economies collapsing. Thus, such funds become extremely needed during the time of a pandemic.
The prime minister tweeted, “It is my appeal to my fellow Indians, kindly contribute to the PM-CARES Fund. This Fund will also cater to similar distressing situations, if they occur in the times ahead.”
He further added that fellow citizens from all walks of life should come out expressing their desire to donate in country’s battle against Covid-19 or coronavirus. “Respecting that spirit, the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund has been constituted. This will go a long way in creating a healthier India,” PM Modi added in his tweet. The public charitable agree with the name ‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund)’ may be a devoted country wide fund with the objective of coping with any type of emergency or distressful situation, like the modern Covid-19 epidemic. Several ministers from the cabinet had agreed to this point. People who want to make donations can visit the pmindia.Gov.In and donate to the PM CARES fund. These donations can be made by using your Debit or Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, and RTGS/NEFT. The UPI ID is pmcares@sbi, where the donations can be made. This fund also welcomes even micro-donations starting from just Rs.10, because of which a large wide variety of citizens will have the ability of making a contribution with smallest of donations they wish to make. So, the PM Care fund has received an overwhelming response as its goes top trending on twitter. People from all the corner of the country, even the students are making donations to help India fight covid-19. A slew of Bollywood celebs also came forward to make a contribution their bit to assist the Indian Government in its fight against the covid-19 pandemic. Several Bollywood celebrities had made donations with superstar Akshay Kumar making a contribution of 25 crores. Varun Dhawan had too donated 30 lakhs in the PM Care funds. Singer Guru Randhawa too contributed Rs 20 lakhs to the fund. South celebrities like Rajnikanth, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu has too made donations.
Apart from Bollywood, Ratan Tata has also pledged to contribute 500 crores in the fund. Sachin Tendulkar along with many other cricketers are also doing their bit. The number of Corona virus infections in the country is steadily increasing. The number of corona infected is not decreasing even after public curfew to lockdown.
