As fans grieve over the untimely death of young actor Sidharth Shukla, condolence poured in from the celebrities as well. Ajay Devgan, Rajkumar Rao, and Salman Khan took tweeter to express their shock over the sudden demise of Shukla. Sidharth Shukla, the winner of Bigg Boss 13 and a hugely popular TV star, died on Thursday. He was 40. He allegedly suffered a cardiac arrest early in the morning and was brought dead to the Cooper hospital in Mumbai. The exact cause of the death is as certain and will be disclosed after the post mortem.

Since then, a huge mob outside the hospital has been gathered with several media reporting live from the ground. Sidharth’s close friends Aarti Singh, Vikas Gupta, and Shefali Jariwala have arrived at the hospital and were joined by big boss contestant Rahul Mahajan, Asim Riaz, and Hindustani Bhau. The actor’s post mortem report was released today and his body was taken from the Cooper hospital to Oshiwara crematorium today.  

The Legacy of Sidharth Shukla and A Lane Down Memories

Hailing from a completely different background, Sidharth Shukla’s acting career can be best described as an epitome of hard work and dedication. He was born in 1980 in Mumbai to Ashok Shukla, a civil engineer. He graduated in Interior designing and worked for almost two years in the same field. However, his interest leads him to modeling. During his modeling days, Shukla lost his father due to a lung disorder and lives with his mother and two younger sisters. In 2004, he appeared in Gladrags Manhunt and Mega model Contest and was one of the runners-up of the show.

In 2005, he participated in World’s Best Model contest held in Turkey and became the first Asian to ever bag the title. Soon after, he appeared in several advertisements for Bajaj Avenger, ICICI, and Digjam. In 2008, Shukla experimented his hands in acting and appeared in a lead role in the television series Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. The show ended the year later. He then appeared in Jaane Pehchaane Se Ye Ajnabbi, Love U Zindagi, and CID before ultimately playing his famous character ‘Shiv’ in the series Balika Vadhu. It was his role as Shiv that became a turning point in his career; Shukla gained widespread recognition and also won several accolades for the same.

In 2013, Sidharth Shukla participated in the celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 but was eliminated in the 11th week. The same year it was reported that he signed 3 films deal with Dharma Productions. In 2013, he appeared in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, marking his first Bollywood debut. He played the role of Angad Bedi opposite Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhavan. For his performance in the same, he won the “Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male)” award.

Soon after, Shukla appeared in several TV shows such as Savdhaan India, India’s Got Talent 6, Dil Se Dil Tak, and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke before ultimately bagging an opportunity in the reality show Bigg Boss 13. With Bigg Boss 13, his career kicked off, Shukla was the most promising participant of the season that made him a household name. He was voted the most favorite contestant of Bigg Boss 13 in polls conducted by not just one firm but by several media’s. In 2020, Sidharth Shukla became the winner of Bigg Boss 13, making him one of the most celebrated TV artists of India.

Talking about Sidharth Shukla, one possibly cannot ignore his story with Shehnaaz Gill. Gill and Shukla first met in the house of Big Boss 13, she was his co-housemate in the reality show. There used to be quarrels between the two but with time they started coming closer. On the other hand, fans on Twitter named both of them #SidNaaz and it started trending day by day. Gill once confessed her love for Siddharth but he kept calling her a friend. Even after leaving the show, the duo kept in touch and was often seen together on frequent occasions.

In 2020, after winning Bigg Boss 13, Shukla’s massive popularity helped him bag appearances in a music video, Bhula Dunga opposite his co-housemate Shehnaaz Gill. Soon after he appeared opposite Neha Sharma in another music video ‘Dil Ko Karaar Aaya’. In 2021, Shukla made his OTT debut as Agastya Rao with the third season of the romance web series ‘Broken but Beautiful’ produced by ALT Balaji. Broken but Beautiful proved to be the last show for Sidharth Shukla after his sudden demise of Thursday Morning.

The shocking death of a popular TV actor left his fans reeling, with old episodes, photographs, and tweets from his social media going viral. With his death, the story of a young brilliant actor is left incomplete.
